New Problem!

Yesterday I couldn't get my truck to start, now I can't get it shut off. I Got it started and adjusted the timing, go to shut it off and it won't, I had to pull the negative cable off of the battery. What wire interupts the curcuit, the one going to the HEI coil? Ignition switch works fine for starting but don't do a thing for shutting it down.
