What did you get done-Late edition

It's time for the weekly edition of what did you get done this weekend. I did a lot of truck stuff. Some of it fun, some "really" sucked.

Friday-Flew to Dallas and my buddy Keith picked me up. We went to Stoked out Specialties to pick up my 77. I spent the entire day checking out stuf in their shop, and detailing my truck for Dust Off.

Friday night- It rained it's 2ss off.

Saturday- The rain finally cleared, the rtoads dried up (sorta) and we headed out to Dust Off.

Saturday noon- Finally made it to Dust Off or as we now call it "Mud On" because it was a swamp. Hung out, got muddy, so Jason Hills Blazer and a couple of other worthy rides.

Saturday night- Detailed the 77 again, and it started raining...again

Sunday morning- Went to Stoked out Specialties to meet the crew going to Super Chevy. Got there late and they had already left. Drove to Ennis in the rain.

Sunday 9:30- Made it to Super Chevy show in Ennis. Spent two hours cleaning the 77...again

Sunday 12:30- It quit raining, and I am finally through drying my truck for the 89th time.

Sunday 3:30- Went to awards. Got my asked kicked by a Pro-Street truck. It was very nice, but since when am I in the same class as a Pro-Street truck?

Sunday 4:30- Loading my truck to head home. The carpeted Lower door panels that didn't get installed slide out of my hand and put a nice scratch in my cab.

Sunday 5:30- Half way home I stop for gas. Getting back on the freeway, I dodge one hole and hit another. Suddenly I hear loud ugly noises. I pull over to discover my exhaust has seperated the welds at the cat. I am now running open exhaust after the Y-pipe.

Sunday 6:30- I limp to the next exit and attempt to fix my exhaust with no tools. It didn't work, but I can tell you that you should NOT touch your cat with your forearm.

Sunday 7:00- Decide to head home with cool new ghetto sound exhaust system. I am just getting used to the dull roar, and suddenly I loose air pressure in my system. Upon examination, I have no clue as to why. I decide to limp along at 2mph on the shoulder till I get over the next hill. I get over the next hill and discover...nothin but another hill. I do this for a few miles till I find a road side park.

Sunday 8:45- The rollback wrecker shows up and tells me the first 10 miles are free. After that it 's $2.00 PER MILE. Hmmm? How far am I from home? Oh about 70 miles or a few hundred dollars.

Sunday 11:36- Paid the nice wrecker drive a small fortune, gave him a nice tip for being so careful with my baby. Now I am home reporting how bad my weekend sucked to all my internet buddies.

How was your weekend????
