SM465 to NV4500 questions
Hi guys,
I am getting ready to swap my sm465/np205 to a nv4500/np205 and have a few questions that I haven't been able to find through my searches. If you could help I would appreciate it. This will be going in a 1971 K10 shortbed. - The guy I bought the nv4500 from said you can just use the same sm465 clutch for the nv4500..as that's what he did. Is this true? - Also It seems that most NV4500 users like the southbend brand clutch. Does anyone have a part numbers I could look up? - My engine is a sbc 400 with longtube headers. I'd like to use novak's hydraulic salve cylinder/bracket in conjunction with Captainfab's hydraulic master cylinder. Has anyone had header clearance issues? My engine is at the shop at the moment and haven't been able to take a look just yet. https://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/...-hcr3/kit-hcrc - Lastly, if I use the novak kit, do I need to change my throwout bearing? Again thank you for the help! and sorry if these questions come up regularly - I just cant find this particular info. |
