New Here Looking for Info

Hi!
Hoping this would be a good place to ask a couple of questions. We have a 1971 GMC Custom Camper 4x4 currently in the middle of a restoration.
We’ve looked a couple of times for info behind the truck. We are the 3rd reg owner. We were told its possibly one of just a few that were custom ordered in production for the Alaska pipeline. Which might? Explain the extra large hubs and oversized suspension. Hoping there might be someone here that would know how to definetly track down some more information about it.
Thanks!
