TBI Issues
'90 suburban 350 TBI (low miles)/700r4
OK, so I changed the fuel pump last week, oil pressure switch again, coil, fuel filter, recent tune up, tank full of gas, ordered new connectors for the wires to the pump. I have a haynes book for 88-98 which seems to cover only the ck series and not the old square bodies even though they were made until '91. Before it would only start and run for a minute if I sprayed starter fluid into the throttle body. If I wanted to start it again, repeat the process. I didn't hear the pump turn on before I changed it, still not turning on. I removed the fuel filter and connected the line to a hose, tried to start it and it filled the container. Looking at the injectors no fuel is getting to them, even with spraying it doesn't start. Not sure if this is related but I tried to start it today and the key was stuck in the ignition in on position basically trying to start, had to run and pull the battery cables to turn it off. Now I try to hook the battery up and it sparks really bad. I'm trying to ensure everything works fine because I'm going to switch over to a '91 suburban because this one the frame shock mount is broken. The '91 donor has no wiring harness or engine/transmission. As always any advice is greatly appreciated!
