Stall converter

Thought I'd post this as it may help someone having trans shifting issues. I have a 71 C10, 355 with 9.5:1 compression, 280 duration .450 lift cam and a TH350 built by a local guy. The trans lugged the motor down at idle and the stall was extremely low affecting the take-off and power transfer to the trans and on WOT the shift was at 4000 and sluggish. I have made all the vac mod and TV cable adjustments possible so I bought a B&M Holeshot 2400 converter and a governor kit to adjust the weights and springs. Replaced the converter, installed lighter weights and left the springs and totally changed the driving characteristics. Idles great with no bogging, during in-town driving you can't hardly feel any shifts and WOT from a stop is awesome with the 1-2 shift at 5500 and hittiing hard. So it got real tame in town and kick butt on hard throttle so very pleased with my truck.
