83 k30 resto Back Fire tru Carb HELP

Im new to this forum and SBC work. I have a 1983 K30 1ton camper special with a flat bed. It was my dads old truck sat in the woods for 20years till I came along and towed that 20year old air still in the tires 20miles home. I pulled the plugs lubed and cleaned engine bay. Then i got her to fire up just didn't wanna stay running. Ive done a lot of things to it besides just save the money and get a clean good carb/rebuild old. The problem I have now is I had to re-wire entire engine bay after days of reading I think its correct I got it to kinda run month or 2 ago. Now I got it to idle after a while and pulled it into my shop, wouldnt start after that my dad told me to pull distro and check that and timing (wish i never would have) now ive having issues with timing i've set TDC and droped it in done that correctly I think but still have old dirty carbs and it'll crank snort and shot fire balls out the carb. I lack most my arm hair because of dad cranking it over while a bottle of whiskey down and half def, ill live. Just wish I could get this thing to go again. Any help anyone? Im going to either save the money or get rebuild kit for the quad soon. Also this truck has a 1967 327 vet engine with aggressive cam and maybe 750 miles. I pulled the oil pan and **** i wanted to eat my dinner off it... if my shop was a space ship.
Thanks for any help in advance!
Will post pics of what I have done so far when I upload
