NOW AVAILABLE! Reproduction spare tire carrier bolts
SOLD OUT! SOLD OUT! SOLD OUT! They’re here! I am in process of sending PMs to everyone who expressed interest in advance. If you are new to the thread, please feel free to reply in this thread. New pics are on page 3 of this thread, including a side by side NOS & my reproduction. I tried to get as close a match as possible to the GM plating, which appears to be a dull white zinc, not the bright bluish zinc you see everywhere today. Price is $45 shipped for one within the US, $87.80 shipped for two within the US. Essentially $41.50 per bolt, plus shipping, so let me know other quantities or if to Canada and I'll get pricing. Add 3% for PayPal fees. Thanks!
Collecting interest on reproducing the correct 69-72 Blazer spare tire carrier bolt, GM 3991023 per GM catalogs. These were a unique length (6-7/8”) and fine thread (7/16-20) carriage bolt that would accept a lug nut. I have a bid from a US bolt manufacturer to produce these, and now need your feedback on deciding how many to have produced - especially since there are 73-up versions out there that are not correct but work for 69-72 so people use them. Price point to make a minimum run will be around $45 shipped but the price will get better if I can make a larger order, so let’s hear from you! Pics of an NOS bolt are below. Also thanks to cericd for the pics below plus 1rippen6 for help with the NOS example!
