Brake pedal return spring?

I recently did a 73-87 front K swap into a 65 c10. I made a mount for the power brake booster (purchased new). I had a piece machined for an adaptor to use a stock booster that then allows the stock brake pedal adjuster to thread on. The brakes work great but the pedal will not return after pressing them, leaving the brakes dragging. I知 using all the stock 65 pedal assembly.

For anyone who has done a similar swap did you have to add a return spring to the pedal? Seems simple enough but wanted to see what majority did and make sure I知 not missing anything/have another issue.
Thanks in advance!
