OT: 55 chevy 2 door

Sorry guys I would have posted this in the 55-59 section but it doesnt get hits enough. Anyway I went and looked at a 55 chevy 2 door. It has new a-arms and coils and a rear out of an 79 trans am w/ 4.56 full spool. All the panels are there and very little if any rust. There is no interior or motor/trans. It is in primer but it looks like it has been on there a while and ther isnt any trim on the side I figured I would just fill those in anyway. The guy is asking $3500 but I asked if he was firm and he asked what I had so I am thinking he would take $2800. Is it a good buy or should I find something else to put my big block in?
