Bed frame brackets
Forward of the rear wheelsriveted to the frame are 3 brackets on each frame rail (LWB). The first two brackets on each side starting at the cab appear to be the same between 2wd and 4wd vehicles. It's the one immediately before the rear wheels I have a question about. I took the bed off of a 2wd 67 and I'm installing it on a 71 K20 chassis, the brackets mentioned above came off of a 2wd truck, the first two brackets line up with the bed cross members, the ones directly in front of the rear wheels do not. The mounting surfaces on each side of this cross member is wider than the brackets, is this because the brackets came off of a 2wd frame and should I try and find these brackets from a 4wd frame? The brackets look like little wings sticking off of each frame rail, I assume this is where on a 2wd that the frame bows out? I'll post a pic this evening. Thanks,
