I like the aluminum slots. 16.5 when aired down for real wheeling can pop the bead too easy (I was told on the trail) So I opted for the 16" that has the inner bead that the 16.5" doesn't have. 16" tires are easier to find as well. 16" with any real width aluminum are hard to find though. Someone should bring back the slots in 16"x9" with a nice deep dish sort of look. One thing always seems to be missing either way is nice center caps that still allow you to use your 4x4 hubs.
