Steering stabilizer / dampener
I am finishing up my rebuild of the '72 Dana 44. The original tie rod was shot so I picked up a nice, straight, used one from a newer model (maybe later 70's, 80's) D44.
Now that I have it together, it seems obvious that the steering stabilizer mount on the axle tube will have to be cut off and moved if I want to use it in conjunction with the hole in the tie rod. Is that right? Would you do that or just not use it? The truck will be lifted 4".
