Eagles Mere Auto and Air Museum - Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania
I belong to a cabin up the road from Eagles Mere. I have seen the signs for the auto museum for a few years now, but never stopped. I got done early at the work day today so I decided to stop in quick. It was well worth the stop. $8 gets you admission to both museums. A family admission with children under 17 is $18, and season pass which allows you and any guest unlimited trips for $25. They are open Saturday and Sunday mid May through mid October from 11a-4p. My $8 admission turned into $25 There are 3 or 4 plane buildings (I didn't go through) and a two story auto museum. The employees are very knowledgeable and polite. They informed me that the owners have over 400 vehicles that they cycle in/out yearly. So next year there will be 1/3rd different vehicles in there. Good reason to keep goin back. They own 57 1957 bel airs, and have a lot of original paint low miles stuff. A lot of it was GM. Three yenkos, bunch of vette's, etc. If you are in the area it is well worth the trip. Eagles Mere also has a few places to stay and a golf course, I believe it is a country club. Hunters Lake is also nearby.
