WOOO HOOO!!!! I FINALLY solved the streaky paint problem. I found that when I turned up the pressure on the compressor , laid down a thin coat, and made my movements a bit faster, the paint seemed to work out!! Here are a couple pics for your enjoyment

I still have to re shoot the hood, it got some crap stuck to it in the drying process. the last 2 pics were taken using the back light on the camera so the colors don't look quite right
