1990 lazer Power Mirror Swap Question

I am installing 1990 Blazer/Suburban power mirrors on my '74 C20 build.

I ordered a set from a yard in AZ and asked for the full wiring harness, control knob and inner door supports. I guess, when you are half a continent away, you can get by with slicing the wires and leaving out the supports and switch. . . and then don't return calls asking where your parts are.

I digress. I have finally put a set of mirrors together and got a sweet plug and play wiring harness and control switch from a forum member, and they work great. What I am doing now, is trying to mount them to the door. . . and I don't have the inner door support, and bolting them directly to the door doesn't seem like a good idea.

I have spent hours looking for replacement inner door backing plates, braces, supports. . . whatever I can think of to call them, and come up empty. And don't get me started on GOOGLE's search engine algorithm results, that only return results based on what websites pay them for placement.

I can fab a couple of plates, but would like to see if there is a less labor intensive solution. Does anyone have any information, photos, or contacts where I can either see these parts or order them if they really exist?

Thanks,

Dave
