How can we get a 3" raked lift in the rear of my bud's leaf spring truck?

My buddy's C10 has leaf springs in the rear and it sits almost perfectly level. What he'd like to do is get the back end to sit up about 3 inches higher than the front. What's the best way to accomplish this? Would adding 1500lb coil overs on the shocks be enough to do this or would adding another leaf to the spring pack be good enough? If we didn't want to sacrifice ride quality, would installing a single leaf be better? Thanks in advance!
