65 C10 FUEL SENDER RATING 30 or 90 OHMS ??
Need a little help here guys.
1965 C10 LWB converted to SWB Original gauge cluster with original fuel gauge. I removed the tank behind the seat and scrapped it years ago, so I no longer have the original fuel sender Just ordered a new under bed tank from Tanks Inc. and now need to order the correct fuel sender for the stock fuel gauge. I need to know if the 65 C10 trucks came with a 0-30 or 0-90 ohm fuel sender. Originally the truck came with an inline 6 cyl engine, not sure if you need that info but just in case. I have searched here and get conflicting information. Some threads say all GM vehicles are 0-90 some threads say 0-30 for certain years. Is there a way to pull the gauge cluster and test the fuel gauge without power? The truck is in pieces since this is a frame off restoration I do have a Snap On battery charger if I need power or I can use a standard car battery from my daily driver. Any help or links is GREATLY APPRECIATED Thanks |
