vintage air install question

just got a vintage gen iv and was wondering how you all ran you heat/cooling lines, I smoothed my fire wall for a clean look and really dont want to go through the fire wall in the engine bay.I was thinking of running the lines under the fender well then through the fresh air vent cavity , then pull through the vent kick pannel then to the evaporator. Has anyone does something like this? always open to suggestions. thanks , Mike
