Newbie ‘65 GMC SWB Project

Hey guys, I just picked up my new project a couple of weekends ago and am assessing what to do. It was a stalled project where the owner unfortunately passed and the family sold it. It is a 65 GMC SWB, with a 5.3, AR5 5 speed, 2.5” spindle/2” spring and 5” rear drop. It has the cool raked look I prefer since I’m an old school Pontiac muscle car guy. It is non running.
I have been reading extensively and since it will the utilize LS based drivetrain I’m sure there will be tons of questions. It’s biggest issue is the owner decided to completely do a frame off, blast to bare metal, and then decided to do his own body and paint. The base went on well, but the clear is unrepairable.
I’m trying to determine whether to blow it apart or attempt to do a respray since it is mostly assembled.
What do you guys think?
