Hello everyone..new guy here.i have a few questions 72c10
Ok so I have this jalopy 1972 c10 long bed...here are the questions I have about it
1) Is it worth the time and money to fix 2) This truck has factory rear leafsprings..does that offer a better ride then coils? 3) this truck has a rotted wood bed but I got 2 parts trucks with this and one has a metal bed should I swap beds or redo the wood?(which is more desired) 4) should I look for a shortbed project instead? That's pretty much it for now and referring to question #1 Id say its in fair/decent shape The usual cab corners, rockers are roached(atleast the drip rail, roof is solid) Info: 1972 Chevy c10 Longbed fleetside Raunchy puke green I think gm calls it olive green & white pained pinstripe and top Has original 350 (to my knowledge) 4spd manual(with low) P.s since ive owned it ive put the wheels on it that I jacked off my chevelle a bad to the bone 68 impala steering wheel with functioning horn bucket seats from a 94 cavaliers(3 bolts match perfect only need to drill 1hole if you want the 4th bolt ...I didn't) Billet grill ,grill bezel, headlights& bevels 71 doors(personally like the metal over the factory plastic) Also switched it from points to hei Then the mechanical stuff to make it road worthy tune-up,service (brake shoes, calipers, booster, master cylinder ,ect) I still have all the original stuff ive taken off btw...I kind of went ham if I liked it...I did it...if not I replaced it with something i did Dont be scared to tell if its a lemon....I only put a alternator in a Buick...old guy told me to take all 3 but this one I was able to drive home and only one with a title I will try to upload some pictures soon Thanks in advance guys |
