You will also need an adapter for different size hole if you are running a factory temp gauge-sender in the cylinder head.

My old engine actually had Vortec heads on it. Yes a couple of the plugs were real close but they worked ok.
The water neck on the intake actually has a tap I screwed the original temp sender into. Seems to work ok.
