Emissions Override Relay Wiring?
I picked up a '86 Chevrolet C30 CCDRW with a 454. The PO did a number on the wiring harness, so I pulled the engine harness and am in the processing of cleaning it up.
What I have left is wiring for 2 modules that I am trying to determine what they are (included pictures below). The numbers off the modules are: 14094774 14087500 After some research I am thinking the 14087500 is an "Emissions override relay" and the 14094774 is an "Electronic brake control" relay. Are either one of these accurate? Also, I am in the process of cleaning up the wiring to them and for module 14087500 it has a 5-wire weatherpack connector where in my case - Yellow and brown wires have been cut - Black wire has been crimped together with the other black wire from the other module for a ground. - White wire runs to the plug that goes into the HEI distributor - Pink wire runs into the other module connector. Does anyone know what any of these plugs do and if I can re-wire the harness to remove one or both? Thanks for all the help.
