Wheels do not fit without spacers
I want to preface this by saying this has absolutely nothing to do with the supplier, wheels or the brake company... they are only mentioned for informational purposes and fit on a specific application...
lets start with the information on the truck... this application is specific to my 1967 C-10 with the original 1967 12 bolt rear axle... I purchased the CPP rear drilled and slotted disc brake setup for my truck... everything bolted fine and worked great with the 15"x10" Torque Thrust that I got from TNT Motorsport and they were mounted with Diamondback Classics 295/50-15... I wanted to go back to the Diamondback Classic Wide Whitewalls so I ordered a pair of rear wheels from Well when we went to install the wheels on the rear we ran into several issues... first the wheels will not fit over the CPP calipers (which are nothing more than 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood calipers) and we encountered the tire hitting the inside of the wheelhouse... The only fix for this and be able to run this combination is to get a set of hub centric 3/8" spacers and longer wheel studs... once I did that I have the proper clearance and it works fine... I would say it is possible that if you are running drum brakes on the rear these wheels will clear and not rub on the wheelhouse... I would also say the if you are running the 71-72 rear axle you will have enough clearance for the wheelhouse but if you are wanting to run the CPP rear disc you will have to still run the spacer to clear the caliper... Again this is not to bash any company or product it is merely informational and compatibility issues... Thanks,,, Dan
