TH400 Kickdown Wire Question

I am in the process of resealing my TH400. When I pulled the kickdown solenoid wires off of the solenoid to remove it and change the o-ring I noticed that the insulation on the two wires was cracked.

Is this going to cause problems or can I just leave it?

(correct me if I'm wrong on the terminology of this "kickdown solenoid")
