Info on passenger bucket seat lift lever

Installing utility buckets that PO had removed in favor of a bench...all the holes line up, no problem. Then I notice that because the seat folds forward, there are no fasteners holding the rear of the seat down. The lift lever and spring are present on the back of the seat, but appears to be missing part of the mechanism because the lever doesn’t disconnect the seat from anything and there’s nothing putting tension on the spring, it’s just sitting in a bracket. Will post pics of my own seat tomorrow, the pic below is a reference to show the lever I am referring to. Any insight as to what this is supposed to look like?
