I figured blasted in some way. I have a commercial/industrial painter who does all that for me. Sure makes for a nice finish...and superior adhesion! Looks ever bit as good as powder coat. The guy I mentioned uses epoxy primer and always asks, "Why do you want to power coat?" I was all about the powder coat for years going way back. Had a shop that had been doing it for decades, a leading national shop, not 10 miles from me, and we had a great relationship. He retired and not so sure about the new guy. He turned me off on my first inquiry. A good urethane job does the trick!
