firewall writing decipher?
We've been curious about some writing along the top of the firewall - by where the wiring routes across. We've decided it's probably something done at the factory during assembly. I'm curious if anyone can decipher what it may have meant.
The truck is a '71 Cheyenne(CE10934) with a 350 engine & hydramatic. The paint is white and light yellow (1464AA). What's written on the firewall is, spaced out like I see it (with dashes) to keep the spacing there: 4---------CE1093---4---------159?------m38-----4 I'm not entirely sure about the 159. it could be 155 or something else. And the M ins't a for-sure. Rust has eroded away much of the writing. I can assume the CE1093 must've been some short-hand of the model, CE10 for C10 and 934 matches the end of the model id in the glove box, aside from the odd space before the 4. The rest of the numbers... heck if I know. Any thoughts? Last edited by turpentyne; 02-24-2019 at 09:57 PM. |
