Right turns shut my truck off
First a little background info. It's a '69 C-10, inline 6 (250) with a single barrel Rochester (if that's the right spelling). Fuel tank still in the cab. Runs fine, drive it to work everyday. For the past few days, it has developed a syndrome of some sort. If I am turning into a drive way or parking lot, sometimes I will just hold the clutch in and coast into the drive. If the drive happens to be on the RIGHT, the truck will just stall. I can pop the clutch and she will fire right back up and idle just fine. If I am still in gear and off the clutch, say...in the parking garage where EVERY TURN is a right turn, it spits and coughs like crazy, then as soon as I start going straight, it levels out and runs like new. IT DOES NOT DO THIS ON ANY LEFT TURNS. That's what boggles my brain. I replaced the fuel filter (up next to the carb) two days ago, but the issue still exists. Any engine guru-types have an idea what it could be. It only is an issue in town. If it were still on the farm, I wouldn't give it a second thought.
