A "few" Questions on pulling engine

Cut to the chase:
1. Bought engine crane/hoist and it came with the carb plate for pulling engine
2. Should I use bolts or stubs/nuts to bolt plate to intake?
3. What size and should I use grade 8 ?
4. When ready to re-install should I leave plate attached to original intake or
should I install new hi-rise, install engine then put carb on after engine is
put back in ? Leaning towards leaving hoist attached to engine&stand
during cleaning as at my age it might take a while.
5. Pulling engine with tranny any suggestions on clutch kits (3 on tree).
6. Bought Pur15 to do frame (not complaining) turns out frame was way
cleaner than it should have been. Thoughts on just sanding a bit and
painting with good ole Rustoleum ?
7. Am an old fart as mentioned in several posts. Should I just start a restore
posting and post picture's ? Not a Facebook type but this site is very
helpful especially to someone like me that has not attempted something
like this in over 40 years.
