64 C20 crossmember swap to 66 C10?

Hi, I’d like to get my 64 C20 to front disc and better/softer ride. Will swapping in a 66 C10 crossmember work? I realize I’ll still need to do the work swapping components, but as a starting point will that work? I’ve found a 66 complete cross member for $150, I’m hoping it’s something I can do and then upgrade bits and parts later. I just want to get mine rolling and driving on a C10 suspension now and I can do the rest as my wallet allows. Thanks in advance for all your input.
