Question Later V8 swap

I posted this to the wrong board, so here it is again:
New member here. I just purchased a 56 GMC 350 with the 316 V8. The engine has a bad knock, and I was wondering if a later Pontiac 400 would work with the old style front and rear motor mounts? I already have the 400 in the shop, and that would allow me to go through the 316 and still drive the truck. Thanks.

Brian
I noticed another question posted along the same lines that has not been answered. Does anyone have any idea about this swap? I know I have seen GMC with late model Pontiac 400.
