Wheel studs

So I had a stripped wheel stud, I stopped by the parts store and they gave me the ones for a 71 C10... however; the knurled section is Far smaller in diameter.

Everything I see online says the new ones are indeed the “proper” ones and I can’t find anything with the knurl diameter of the one I pulled...

They are 1/2”-20 studs but the head and knurl are much larger... the 4 other studs remaining on the truck look identical and all look to be fairly old, if not original to the axle shaft.

Any one else come across this?
