Front disc brakes

My son has a 1969 half ton that he is trying to get on the road. Today was brake day. The front are disc brakes, and seem to be in good shape. Rotors need to be turned, but other than that, all looks ok. My question this time is simple, did the 1969 come with disc brakes? If not, I have the part number printed on the back of one of the pads, but have not been able to find it using a google search. But, I am computer stupid, so any help would be most appreciated. The part letters printer on the back of the pad are ARHPTCF. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance. D
