Re: AC/ Heater core replacement

I just pulled the entire A/C from my truck two days ago. Removing the inner fender is definitely the way to go. I was able to get the fender out without even removing the tire. Gives you lots of space to work too.

My truck had everything in it except the compressor when I bought it. With the history of the A/C unknown, I decided to just replace everything with a Vintage Air Surefit. For one, I didn't want to burn a lot of calories and time on sourcing parts and working on it only to find problems and failure points over time. I'm installing it all right now but am already happy I went this route because I found a lot of issues with it when I started removing it from the truck. Wiring was all hacked, air duct hoses were dry rotted and fell apart, condenser lines were cut, etc.

The Vintage Air also cleans up the firewall nicely.
