55.2-59 Beware of “fastener kits”

I purchased a stainless interior fastener kit years ago and just got around to starting to use it. The first thing I tried to install was the glovebox door. The hinge bolts are too long. They caused slight outward dents on the front and bottom of the glovebox door. I’m a little upset because I pampered that darn door for years not to get a scratch on it now this. Beware of those kits, I certainly will make sure the next time I use anything else from that kit.
