Wiper Motor/Blades Trouble

Hi All,

I have been doing a resto on my 67 C10 and i'm finally at the point of the Windshield Wipers. I got the wiper motor in (its new) and its connected to the linkage arms. I got the wiring connected and the wipers move.

However, they travel too far into the cowl and its not a clean smooth motion. They also dont park properly.

I have seen other threads about similar issues. I've seen people say the grounding strap for the motor needs to be attached to one of the mounting screws, but not sure which one since they all sit on rubber cushions.

Any other ideas? This is a new wiper motor, and a new switch with a replacement wiring harness.

At this point i wouldnt mind them not parking in the right spot as long as they completed a smooth cycle and not banged into the cowl.

Thanks in advance
