Grille moldings - HELP! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Okay, here's the deal. I was at the junkyard yesterday, and I found a minty set of chrome grille moldings for my '86. They're on an '86 Chevy van. Now the dilemma is this. My buddy told me that he's pretty sure that the measurements are different on a van grille than on a truck grille. So, I called up the dealer and he said that the part numbers are different on a van than a truck, but he didn't know why.

As far as I know the grille measurements were the same on a van and a truck, but now I'm not so sure. Long story short, does anyone here know if the measurements for the grille are the same or different for trucks and vans?
