Speedo cable

The truck I’m working on is a ‘68 C10 long wheelbase truck. It belongs to a co-worker and we are doing a complete frame off albeit budget minded restoration on this unit.

The owner had this as his first vehicle and it’s been disassembled for quite a long time. He’s done a real good job of keeping up with all the parts over the years.

My question is, what length speedo cable do I need. It’s looking like it is either 100 inches long or 120 inches long. I don’t want one too long that lays sloppily in the engine compartment.

Thanks in advance for your help.
