250 inline six oil pan measurements

Hope one of you that has a 250 4.1l can help me out. got a, new to me ,1966 chevy c-10 step side and it appears to have a 292 oil pan (larger). I have a 292 engine in the garage and the oil pans look identical. if i could have the dimension of how deep the 250 oil pan is, i could make a dipstick that would be usable with the larger pan. 250 oil pan holds 5 qts and the 292 holds 6qts. any help on the size would be greatly appreciated. want to make sure i have enough oil in engine, just rebuilt it. Thanks!
