Yes, the shaft is supposed to have a little vertical play .

The flyweights & Springs look O.K. too .

The crank case vents through the distributor a little it, why it's oily inside, not a problem .

I'm hesitant to have you remove the dist. for furter inspection because it's tricky for a DIY'er to get back in most of the time .

I see my acronyms are popular, I have lots of them .
