Karem Shriners Classic Car Show
Went to Karem today, smaller turnout of only about 100 cars and trucks. Disappointed that there were only 2 AD's and a few other older trucks. Last year there were 5 all original and a couple of restomods.
Karem is the only show in Texas in August, where you can walk in the shade and admire old cars. When we pulled out it was 99, but in the shade with a little breeze that was blowing, it was comfortable. Here the two ADs: IMG_0226 by Robert Moorman, on Flickr This one was as all original as the owner could make it. He pop riveted a lower riders rear cab corner on and then patina'd it. He had several layers of clear coat over that patina. This one was a 48 on an S10 frame. I asked the owner about it and all he knew was that it was on an S10 frame. Nothing else. He got it in April, took it to a body shop and had them cut the front fenders up so his wheels were more visible. Here are a couple of other trucks there: IMG_0224 by Robert Moorman, on Flickr IMG_0225 by Robert Moorman, on Flickr
