Hello!

Hi guys! New to the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I'm from Western Canada and have owned my '53 Chevy for 40 years (since I was 14). It was originally intended to be a father/son project to become my first driver at age 16. We hacked off the front frame section and grafted on a clip from a 1968 Olds full size. Spoiler alert: it didn't fit! We also chopped the top nearly 5 inches. That task worked better.

Then I discovered girls... The project sat untouched as I went through college, got a job, got married, had kids, etc. My Dad and I finally got back to it a couple years ago after he retired. We got it running and took it for its first spin in over half a century. It was thrill.

Here's a pic (if I can load it correctly):

I have a question that I'm hoping you guys can help with. I'll post it in the other section.
