After 33 years this 69 C10 Custom is moving again
Found this 1969 C10 Custom for sale here locally . It was sold by Daniels Chevrolet in Colorado Springs to the current 82 year old gentlemans father. It was retitled in his name 1978 and driven by him and his son until 1986. The truck hasn't moved in 33 years.
I had to jack the truck up and move dirt under where the wheels had settled 3-4" in the ground. With a few rollers wheels and tires installed, I moved on to getting the parking brake off, the transmission in to neutral and to the steering wheel to get the truck on to my trailer. Both doors and windows were stuck shut. After spraying TFT dry lube on the driver's window seal, and going in through the wing window I was able to get the driver's window down, release the parking brake and put the transmission in neutral. A good part of the day later she finally was on my trailer. Here's a few pictures. Bed and camper are completely full so I'll be returning to unload everything and pick up a fender and door.
