'71 GMC Longhorn
I was just gonna sell this truck without working on it, but I'm starting to think I'll fix a few things first. So I might as well share in a thread. It's a 1971 GMC C2500 Longhorn. I guess that makes it a fairly rare truck being GMC and 133in wheelbase. It drives nice, and it's definitely a cool ride. People also seem to like the dark green/white color combo.
It had a crate engine installed a few years back and runs well. I think it needs valve cover gaskets because I can smell a little burning oil when driving. AC is converted to 134a and works, but under dash ductwork needs to be replaced. I have a new green dash pad for it. The only real issue it has is the bed floor. Someone welded in diamond plate, rhino-lined it, and let the wood floor rot away. This seems like a huge project to repair correctly, but I might try to make it better than it is. |
