Soffseal Weatherstrip

I bought a soffseal door weather strip kit earlier this year and am now putting it to use.

I am kind of scratching my head about the window channel. I have one piece of channel 8’ long, and one “whisker” 8’ long besides the rubber for the doors, front and rear window. I assume the whisker piece with the chrome bead goes on the inside of the window garnish to ’sweep” the window as it goes up and down. The kit did not come with the rubber scraper that goes in the door which is a bit aggravating and seems when I called about what was what (no list or instructions) the gal that took my call was not really familiar with the kit or what the contents were. It did not come with windlace either which for a door seal kit seems a bit odd.

My real question involves the length of the fuzzy channel. Is 8’ enough to do 2 doors? Seems a bit short to me. Also, why would I need 8’ of the whisker matieral if it only goes inside the garnish molding?

Sorry to demonstrate my naïveté but my experience is with my 55 sedan so this is new to me
