msg Registered User Join Date: Feb 2013 Location: GA Posts: 1,333	Is it ok to use DOT 5.1 brake fluid in a new set up on a 66 C10? Im redoing the components in my braking system and will have a fresh start. New Master Cylinder, Calipers on the front, cylinders on the rear drums and new lines. I was about to buy DOT 3 and fill er up but Im reading that DOT 5.1 is compatible with DOT 3 and is better. Anyone done this already?
