help with fuel line / carb info

have a 68 C10 with a L6 250 single barrel Rochester carb with the fuel inlet on the front of the carb. The new pre-bent SS fuel lines I purchased have the inlet to the carb on the right side. I don't know if I have the wrong carb or if I purchased the wrong fuel line. Anyone on here have any suggestions?

You might ask why does it matter where the fuel line goes in? Well I have had this truck for 25 years and have only been working on it for about the last year and I want it to be as original as I can keep it but look as good as I can make it. I don't like the look of cut fuel lines with rubber hoses and clamps. Personal preference.

Did the 68 inline6 250 come with more than one carb option?
