Help w/Appraisal Value
I am finally doing some things to get all my insurance policies back in order and I am looking at going to Hagerty but I know it will require an appraisal on my Blazer. It has been a really long time (close to ten years) since I was a regular here and seeing what vehicles are selling for and what the options/accessories add in. I am *shocked* at what the prices have done for things like tow hooks!
I am wondering if you guys can take a look at my list here and come up with what you think a minimum value would be that I need to shoot for. I think somewhere in my "five year plan" I will get to finally cleaning her up and finish putting her together. 1969 K5 Has original 307 V8, SM-330 3-speed, Dana 20, Dana 44, and 12-Bolt. Original options list was very short: double-wall top, passenger and rear seats, chrome sport bumpers, lower door side trim, locking hubs, AM radio, courtesy lights, ammeter/oil pressure gauges. For safety and modernization I converted it to power disc brakes (period booster/master, later axle parts), power steering (all period parts except for crank pulley), switched to later factory HEI (still have the original dizzy), replaced the cracked/broken '69 fender reflectors with the 70+ illuminated ones. Condition: It is a driver, garage kept for the last twelve years. Needs windshield frame replaced and all the normal front rust repairs at the bottom of the A-pillars, outer rockers, and under the battery but I already have all the repair and patch panels to do it. The rust advancement essentially stopped when it went inside. Other than that the body is amazingly straight. The interior is okay, the carpet definitely requires replacement and I changed all the old cracked green vinyl parts to black ones from LMC and a new instrument cluster bezel. Everything works (lights, heat, etc.) I have either added or have the period correct parts for: T-case skid Dealer fuel tank skid Dealer swing-out tire carrier Van AM/FM Dealer CB Seat Belt Console Tow Hooks Dual batteries Dual horns Blue dial hubs Hand throttle Aftermarket parts: ECE Class IV hitch LMC Dual Exhaust 2" Lift (not installed) Period steel American Racing wheels and 32" tires Period towing mirrors (they were on it when I bought it). Thanks for any and all input. And no, she's not for sale!!!
