Rear Drum Brake Spring PSA

For those that have retained their rear drum brakes or are about to embark on a rear 1/2 ton rear drum brake rebuild and you need the parking brake spreader bar spring let me save you some time and searching.

Both Dorman (part number HW-1338) and Wagner have discontinued the part with no replacement. A very good, older guy at my local Oriely Auto wasn't deterred and called both Dorman and Wagner. By crossing the Wagner part number he came up with this:

Brake Best part number H1338-2

Best part was they had a pair on the shelf for $3.

Now I hope to finish this up this weekend. Been waiting on these from Summit for over two weeks so I'll now cancel that back order.
